Bladder Ailments

OCT is thought to be valuable as an adjunct to traditional cystoscopy and laparoscopy procedures.  In transurethral resection of bladder tumors, for example, OCT has the potential to eliminate local recurrence and minimize the amount of normal tissue removed by guiding surgical resection lines.

Laser implications:

The long coherence length of the Insight laser can be particularly useful for larger organs such as the bladder.
